Specimen Requirements

Submit one of the following:

 

Fresh specimen required

 

  a) Specimen Type: Body fluid

      Container/Tube: Sterile tube with 0.6mL transfix media

       Volume: 3-6mL

        (Prearrange with Flow Cytometry Laboratory for transport media prior sample collection)

 

(b) Specimen Type: "Small cell number" samples, e.g. CSF, vitreous biopsies

       Container/Tube: Sterile tube with 0.2mL transfix media

        Volume: 1-2mL

       (Prearrange with Flow Cytometry Laboratory for transport media prior sample collection)

The screening panel is customized for detection of localized lymphomas from low cellularity samples (FNA and bodily fluid, e.g. CSF and Vitreous Fluid).
