Specimen Type 1: Serum/Plasma
Container/Tube: Gold Top (SSTII) / Green Top (Li Heparin)
Volume:  5.0 mL / 4.5 mL
Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL

 

Specimen Type 2: 24 hr urine
Container/Tube: The following types of 24 hr urine containers are acceptable:

  • No preservatives
  • 3.0 g Thymol

Volume:  4000.0 mL
Minimum Volume: 20.0 mL

 

Collection Instructions: Send urine and serum/plasma samples together to laboratory.
