NMDA Receptor Antibodies are associated with anti-NMDAR encephalitis, a neurologic immune-mediated disease which typically presents with a flu-like prodromal phase, followed by psychiatric symptoms, abnormal movements, seizures, dysautonomia and decreased consciousness. Simultaneous testing of serum and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is recommended.
