Submit only one of the following
Specimen Type: Respiratory aspirates, fresh tissues, biopsies and body fluids
Container/Tube: Sterile, screw-capped container
Volume: 5.0 mL (fluids, aspirates); 5.0 g (tissues)
Minimum Volume: 1.0 mL (fluids, aspirates); 2.0 g (tissues)
Collection Instructions: Collect aseptically into a sterile container.
Specimen Type: Whole blood or Bone marrow
Container/Tube: Lavender Top (EDTA)
Volume: 3.0 mL
Minimum Volume: 1.0 mL
Specimen Type: CSF and Stool specimens – consult with NUH Microbiologist before sending.
