Useful For

For the simultaneous qualitative detection and identification of nucleic acids from multiple viruses, bacteria, and parasites directly from stool samples obtained from individuals with signs and/or symptoms of gastrointestinal infection.

 

The following viruses, bacteria and parasites are identified:

1. Adenovirus F40/41

2. Astrovirus

3. Norovirus (GI/GII)

4. Rotavirus A

5. Sapovirus (GI, GII, GIV, GV)

6. Campylobacter (C.jejuni, C.coli and C.upsaliensis)

7. Enteraggregative Escherichia coli (EAEC)

8. Shigella/Enteroinvasive Escherichia coli (EIEC)

9. Enteropathogenic Escherichia coli (EPEC)

10. Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) lt/st

11. Plesiomonas shigelloides

12. Salmonella spp.

13. Shiga-like toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) stx1/stx2*

     (including specific identification of E. coli O157 serogroup within STEC)

14. Vibrio vulnificus
