Container/Tube: Sterile screw-capped container with attached spatula
Volume: 10.0 g / 5.0 mL
Minimum Volume: 5.0 g (size of a grape) / 2.0 mL (liquid stool)
Collection Instructions: Stool samples should be collected after stopping medications belonging to proton-pump inhibitors for 2 weeks before test.

Calprotectin is an indicator of inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract, but should be interpreted, in conjunction with clinical history and other diagnostic modalities, including endoscopy, histology, and imaging.
