For NUH patients: To be ordered by clinician or certified APNs. Sample must be taken by GXM certified nurse or phlebotomist if not taken by a doctor. Strictly for clinical use only.

For external clients (NRL):  To consider ABORH instead. Otherwise to discuss with BTS supervisor prior to accepting orders.

Specimen Stability

Test best performed on fresh drawn samples.

Group and Crossmatch samples are valid for 3 days after collection.

Group and Crossmatch (Pre-Admission Testing) samples are valid for 3 days after the day of operation. Please ensure that operation falls within 45 days from the date of collection.
