Specimen Requirements

​Specimen Type: Whole Blood
Container/Tube: Lavender Top (EDTA)
Minimum Volume: Blood, 3.0 mL

Specimen Stability

​Refrigerate sample until transfer to laboratory. Do not freeze. 

Sample should reach the laboratory as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours after collection.

Days and Times Performed

Monday through Thursday, TAT 5 - 10 days

This does not include the 1 - 3 days transit time from NUH to the testing laboratory.
