Container/Tube: Sterile, screw-capped container
Volume: 2.0mL
Minimum Volume: 1.0mL (adult) ; 0.5mL (paediatric)
Collection Instructions: Lumbar puncture, VP shunt, Ommaya Reservoir. Do not inoculate CSF samples into BacT/Alert bottles.

Frozen: Unacceptable

 

Reference Interval

No bacterial growth after 2 days.
