Reference Interval
Urine Albumin/Creatinine ratio (ACR) is categorized according to the KDIGO 2024 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) guidelines into three albuminuria categories.
| A1 (Normal to mildly increased albuminuria) | < 3.0 mg/mmol |
| A2 (Moderately increased albuminuria) | 3.0 - 30.0 mg/mmol |
| A3 (Severely increased albuminuria) | > 30.0 mg/mmol |
For patients with an uACR greater than 30 mg/mmol (A3 category), ongoing monitoring with the protein/creatinine ratio urine (uPCR) is recommended.
